Three Days of Hands-On POCUS Education

The September EDE Bootcamp brought physicians, ultrasound instructors and educators together for an intensive program centered on practical point-of-care ultrasound training. Led by Dr. Greg Hall, Founder and Course Director of EDE Bootcamps, the program included hands-on education across CORE, diagnostic and musculoskeletal ultrasound applications.

The practical format gave participants the opportunity to develop image-acquisition skills while working directly with ultrasound equipment under instructor guidance. This type of hands-on environment is particularly important in POCUS, where effective scanning depends not only on understanding ultrasound principles, but also on developing confidence with probe positioning, image optimization and real-time interpretation.

A Dedicated Sono Mobile® Ultrasound Station

During the Bootcamp, FAGONEX operated a dedicated Sono Mobile® station where participants could interact directly with wireless handheld ultrasound systems while taking part in the educational program.

Rather than evaluating handheld ultrasound only through a conventional product demonstration, physicians were able to experience the technology within an active POCUS training environment. This provided a more practical perspective on how portable ultrasound can fit into bedside imaging workflows.

The compact and wireless nature of handheld ultrasound can be particularly useful in training environments where equipment needs to move easily between learners, instructors and scanning stations. Similar portability can also be valuable in clinical environments where rapid access to bedside imaging is important.

Handheld Ultrasound for POCUS Training

Point-of-care ultrasound education requires repeated practical scanning. Portable systems can help make this process more flexible by allowing ultrasound equipment to be positioned directly where learners are scanning rather than requiring every training station to depend on a traditional cart-based ultrasound platform.

Sono Mobile® wireless handheld ultrasound systems are designed around this type of portable workflow, enabling imaging through compatible mobile devices, tablets and computers while reducing the physical footprint required for an ultrasound system.

For clinicians learning POCUS, the ability to work with portable ultrasound technology during structured education can also provide useful exposure to the increasingly mobile nature of bedside imaging.

Continuing Our Support for EDE POCUS Education

The September program was not FAGONEX's first opportunity to support EDE ultrasound education. Earlier in 2026, FAGONEX and Sono Mobile® also participated in an EDE POCUS Bootcamp, providing clinicians with access to handheld ultrasound technology during practical training.

Returning for the September 2026 program reflects FAGONEX's continued commitment to supporting hands-on ultrasound education and creating opportunities for clinicians to experience Sono Mobile® systems in real training environments.
